In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as Pink October, the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) is embarking on a mission of unprecedented significance: “Pink Unity – Achieving 6,600 Breast Cancer Screenings in 1 Month.”
Breast cancer, a formidable adversary, has affected countless lives worldwide and is well known as the number one highest occurrence of cancer in Malaysia. Pink Unity 6600 Campaign is our response to this challenge, an unwavering commitment to the well-being of our citizens. Our goal is clear and it is audacious – to facilitate 6,600 breast cancer screenings in just one month starting from 4th Oct 2023 until 4th Nov 2023. Why 6,600? Each screening represents a chance for early detection, a chance to save lives, and a chance to reduce the impact of this disease on families and communities in line with 66 years of Malaysia’s independence.
National Cancer Society Malaysia, alongside our dedicated partners, is committed to fostering an environment where breast cancer is no longer a silent threat. We will disseminate crucial information about the importance of regular screenings, raise awareness about risk factors, and offer support to those affected by breast cancer. Through Pink Unity 6600 Campaign, we aim to empower individuals to take control of their health and make informed decisions about their well-being.
Let the color pink become a symbol of our unity, strength, and determination to overcome breast cancer, one screening at a time.
